About Me
On this page I'll be keeping my blog and posting any news or stuff that's going on in my life. I am a 35 year old mother of three so I have a lot on my plate but I've been a huge sims fan since the sims 1. I got my first computer in 1982!! It was a commadore 64!! My parents refused to buy me any games, just books on how to program so that's how I became a PC junkie! I have collected all the expansion packs for sims 1 and then moved onto sims 2 - buying a new PC so I could play of course. I always buy the expansion packs, and on the day they are released you can be sure I'll be down at my local supermarket at midnight to get my hands on the latest edition!
I've recently upgraded to a new custom built PC thanks to Overclockers UK and now my sims are running faster and better than ever! I had it built especially to play the sims on - so you can see what a Sim Maniac I am!
My partner of 13 years Sean, is great and I couldn't build this site or play sims without him - I need him to take the kids out so I can have a break and get down to the Sims!
LATEST NEWS FROM THE BUILDING SITE
14th September 2006 - I have now finished and uploaded the second cabin lot. It is a smaller mountain retreat. I'm going to make a download index list so that you can click all download links on one page. Also need to finish that darn hospital.
12th September - I must update the request page as I have several messages - I will reply this evening. I finished the contemporary cabin and it is online at MTS2. I am now working on a smaller log cabin and also on the hospital.
9th September 2006 - Finally finished the Contemporary Cabin - what a nightmare! The swimmable lake just would not work!! It is in the upload queue at MTS2 so hopefully it will be downloadable soon! Finished it today as yesterday I went to see my new baby niece - they are calling her Grace Olivia so perhaps I need a house in her honour?
7th September 2006 - Things have been crazy for the past few days. my mum broke her ankle and my sister had her baby a week early so I'm and auntie again - yay!! A girl this time, so my first niece on my side of the family. Back in sims world I've been working on a contemporary cabin which will be ready soon. I messed around with a sideways garage but couldn't get it to work, so I had to change my design.
4th September 2006 - I have been doing more work on the 'Eliza' Estate today. Been busy with other stuff so I haven't had much time but there are more pics available now and it is as finished as I can get it because I am so busy with real life this week. My little boy is starting school!! Anyway its in the queue at MTS2 so it should be uploaded there in the next 24 hours.
3rd September 2006 - My Tyson House is now ready to download at MTS2. The link is up on the huge houses page. I' have done some work on a request that I received last night for an English style house with a staff cottage in the grounds so I just put some preview pics up. It is called Elegant Estates ~ The 'Eliza'
2nd September 2006 - My other two tutorial houses are now on MTS2. I've been finishing off the Tyson House project. Just been getting the pics ready for the upload file at MTS2 and now it is done so the Tyson house should be available to download anytime now. Also uploaded 1 Cheap Street to this site. It is my first house for under $20,000 and is on the cheap residential houses page.
1st September 2006 - Just uploaded my third tutorial house rebuild to MTS2. Tutorial House part Three is available in the large residential houses section. I finished it this morning as I was busy with the new Glamour Pack last night. I got it at Tesco's at midnight!! It doesn't contain that much stuff, although I haven't checked out the clothing yet. I used some of the new furniture to furnish the interior of the Tyson House I have been working on. It is practically ready for downloading, but I just want to do some work on the front of the house as I feel it is a bit 'boxy' and ugly at the moment. After this house is finished I'm going back to work on the huge hospital project because I want to get that completed. I also finally managed to get my file for Paradise Palms (The one with the raised pool area) to work so that house can now be ressurected as per the requests I have had.
31st August 2006 - Added another rebuild from the tutorial part of the game. Tutorial House Part Two is Joe and Jane's first house from the social interactions tutorial of the game. I also began uploading 2 Small Street which is another 3X2 Plot. My first submission to MTS2 was accepted and uploaded today too - it is great to share with them as I have used so many of their DL's in the past, nive to be able to return the favour..
30th August 2006 - Added another new file, 1 Small Street which is located on the small residential houses page. Did some more work on the Mike Tyson inspired House but it still isn't quite ready for downloading yet. Also registered the domain name for this site so I'll be launching it on the EA weblist as soon as I have a reasonable amount of DL's available.
28th August 2006 - Added another new Lot file, 2 Medium Meadows which you can find in the residential section with the other medium sized houses. Also trying to resolve an issue with the files as I have Family Fun Stuff installed in my PC and they won't open as sims2packs for those without the FFS pack? Why can't Maxis make compatability better!
Started work on a very large house after seeing a picture of Mike Tyson's house. It's not totally accurate because I don't want to use custom content.
27th August 2006 - Added the first lot file - 1 Medium Meadows, in the residential section. I am still working on the General Hospital. I got side-tracked last night and watched the 40 year old virgin - it was pretty funny! Today I've been working on this site and trying to pull all the pages together.
Built a small house as a request item for asladic on MTS2. It is an exact copy of Tutorial Joe's house from the game tutorial file. Posted it here so it is now ready for downloding. It is called Tutorial House Rebuilt.
Added some web poll boxes and submission forms so visitors to the site can communicate with me and let me know what they like and what they want to see. Just finished building the requests page so visitors can request houses, terrains etc.
Just decided to add a new section containing packaged Lots that came with the original game. So if you want to uload the Caliente sisters or the Goth House from Pleasantview, this is a place where you can get the files as they were when you first played the game. I always adjust houses and sometimes I screw up so I saved these as a back-up measure and I'll be uploading them here soon.
26th August 2006 - Started building this site and Added the first file, a custom terrain neighbourhood Big City Island in the terrain section. Added a few links to the site.
