HOW TO DOWNLOAD FILES FROM DIPPY DESIGNS
Getting Started
I use WinRAR files on this site so you need to make sure you have this program in order to download files from my website. You can get a free trial of WinRar from
www.win-rar.com To install my items you might like install the c.e.p (the colour enabler package) get it here then unzip the zip files from our site to your EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads folder. (if the 'downloads' folder doesn't exist, you'll have to create it)

In order to extract files with the .rar extension, you will need to download and install the shareware program WinRar from www.win-rar.com. Once you have WinRar installed, follow the steps below to install a downloaded file into your game.
1: Browse to the folder that you saved the .rar file to. Right-click on the .rar file and select 'Extract Here'.
2: WinRar will extract the contents of the .rar file into the folder, and it will appear on your desktop.
3: Highlight the file and then select 'Move to'.
4: Browse to the Downloads folder and then select 'Move'. Windows will then move the file to your Mydocuments/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads folder.
5: Browse to your Downloads folder and check to make sure the .package file is there. Once the .package file is in your Downloads folder, it is installed in the game.
Residential & Community Lots
When downloading packaged Residential and Community Lots you will get a file ending with .Sims2Pack. Simply save this file anywhere that you will be able to find it (My Documents or your desktop for example), then browse to the file using Windows Explorer, and click on it to install. A popup box will appear asking if you wish to install the package. You can also refer to the Sims 2 manual for details on installing .Sims2Pack files.
SC4 Neighborhoods
"SimCity 4" Terrains can be imported into The Sims 2 to create new Neighborhoods. When you download one of these files from Dippy Designs it will be a .RAR file. Unzip the contents (4 files) into your /My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/SC4Terrains folder. The next time you go to create a new Neighborhood, this new terrain will appear in the listing.
Please do not repost any files from this site on the sims 2 exchange or any other website. You may only share my files on MTS2 site which is a site I support and is free, as long as you post credit and a link to this site. If any of my projects contain work that belongs to you, then please let me know and I will remove it immediately. I have no wish to share your work and I use clean installer to try and clean up my files for uploading. I do have a lot of downloads in my game so I apologise if your files end up in a package. I always remove hacks and mods but recolours sometimes slip through the net.
